This is a gorgeous cabochon genuine ruby set in rose gold. (I can't make out the gold stamp on the band, but I guarantee it to be at least 10 kt. genuine rose gold.) This cabochon ruby is approximately 9 x 7 millimeters, and a beautiful shade of dark red, with a tint of magenta pink. It is gorgeous against the rose gold of the setting. The setting is done in a beautiful filigree design, reminiscent of an older piece. (However, I believe it is a modern made piece done in an antique style.) This piece is so beautiful and would make for a really unique engagement ring! It would also be a nice birthstone or mother's ring for a July birthday! (The ruby is the birthstone for July.) This is a dainty and beautiful estate piece in like new condition. It is a size 5.5 (5 1/2). It reminds me of something that you would see in a Renaissance painting on a woman's finger. Just gorgeous!
