The 73 Series was first released in 1973 and is one of The North Face’s most iconic parka collections.
It made its debut during a 1972 expedition led by explorer Ned Gillette, where the team completed a 30-day, 300-mile ski crossing of the Koyukuk and Itkillik rivers while wearing the early version of this parka.
This expedition served as the ultimate durability test before the jacket was officially launched in 1973.
