Traditional blacksmith craft: Made in Solingen, Germany. Güde knives are forged, sharpened, finished, tested, and packed in up to 55 manual steps at the factory. • ULTRA STRONG. Blade is made from ultra strong chrome, vanadium, molybdenum knife steel. Avoides corroisiom and ensures an ever-lasting piece. Blade Length is 5-in (13cm)
• UNIQUE. The compact size of the paring knife makes it ideal for a wide range of cutting tasks in the kitchen, from peeling and slicing fruits and vegetables to trimming meats and filleting fish. The handle shells, featuring a very classy design, are slightly raised and made of African Blackwood. The wood species is one of the heaviest in the world and due to its special characteristics, is also used for the manufacture of musical instruments
• ONE OF ONE. Each Knife is one of one, the cut from the grenadilla tree is unique and different in every knife
• CRAFTED. It all starts in the drop forge: slit pieces are cut from an 8 meter long bar steel (chrome, vanadium, molybdenum knife steel). They are heated up to around 1050 °C and forged in the die with 3 to 4 hammer blows. Finally, the blade blank is stamped out of the forging.
