★What is Ata?
Ata is a type of fern, and it is a famous craft from the village of Tenganan in Bali, where the long stems are split lengthwise and carefully woven together.
The process involves weaving → sun-drying → coloring → shade-drying, and it is finished with great care.
It has a unique scent (due to being smoked with coconut juice) and is also insect-repellent and mold-resistant.
