Microplates provide high throughput assay miniaturization in a 384-well system, thereby avoiding the instrument compatibility issues introduced by 1536-well plates while still reducing sample usage. All plates are manufactured from virgin polystyrene resin, except for the black UV-Star 384-Well Microplates, which is constructed of cycloolefin copolymer (COC) for better chemical resistance and detections in lower UV wavelengths. Wells feature conical geometry, in which wells have a round top and a flat bottom, resembling a truncated cone. Plates are compatible with microplate handling equipment and robotics. Plates are free of detectable RNase, DNase, human DNA, and pyrogens. All plates have a footprint conforming to the ANSI/SBS 1-2004 Standard. HiBase plates are suitable for all standard high throughput applications. Plates are supplied without lids.
